About Canyon ADU

Canyon ADU was founded by Ives Brown in 2025. After navigating the dizzying process of designing, permitting and building an ADU for his parents in Pasadena, he decided to help others in the area with their own projects. Ives brings simplicity and quality to his design work, listening closely to client needs while respecting the unique conditions of each site. He values transparency and partnership, ensuring his work is something his clients are proud of.

Born and raised in Pasadena, Ives is a graduate of the Yale School of Architecture where he was the 2021 Bass Fellow at Cambridge University, focusing on Affordable Housing. He practiced Architecture in Los Angeles, London and India for 10 years.

Ives was impacted by the Eaton Fire. Many of his neighbors and friends lost their homes and are experiencing displacement. To help rebuild Altadena, Canyon ADU is offering discounted rates for Eaton Fire survivors.
